PULSE

Cologne, 2011

The work Pulse is an installation that transforms site-specific radioactive decay processes into sound occurrences.

Pulse operates as a timepiece that renounces the linear reality of time (a second, minute, hour etc.) to the unpredictable moment where decay processes begin to happen—an entirely chance driven system. Pulse orchestrates a completely chance driven composition of sound.
